After I request download, the server produces the zipped file, a small process box appears at the bottom right of the screen. Once the zipping process completes, that box closes and no pop up appears. So, I don't know where the zipped files go to. Checked the download file doesn't contain anything. Please help. Thanks a lot!

If you are using Google Chrome, and if your antivirus app is not blocking things, when you select the files for download it will prompt you with a popup asking you to navigate to the location on your computer where you wish to store the downloaded zip archive. The download does not begin until you have pointed the popup to the location you wish (or leave it at the default) and then click Ok.
If you are not seeing that popup, then something on your system is interfering with the popup. First most likely culprit is antivirus or popup blocker apps.

when i used Brave browser they just disappeared; so I opened Chrome and the zipped files went into my downloads.

I've just downloaded a set of photos (from google drive) 3 times in a row and it looks like it successfully downloads, but is not in my local download folder.

I have Norton and everything else will download like it is supposed to...BUT...not when I download from Google Drive...SMH...
