Driving test success practical simulator free download

Driving lessons are expensive but unavoidable.

On top of that, you then have to fork out up to £200 on doing a driving test.

And, if you’re like the majority, chances are you won’t past first time, which means that money’s essentially gone down the drain.

Well, a new app is attempting to change that by offering learner drivers interactive driving lessons.

The new app, called Simdrive, is the UK’s first interactive driving lessons and mock practical test app.

Created by two friends, Bernie Aytac and Cagri Dogan, it’s set up in the form of a game.

Users are required to watch videos of actual driving conditions and tap on the screen on the relevant cockpit instruments that appear at the required time.

Points are given to correct routines, such a tapping in the MSPSL order (Mirrors, Signal, Position, Speed and Look).

Bernie, 40, a driving instructor of 11 years who met Cagri, 38, a software developer, when Cagri approached him for driving lessons, told Metro.co.uk: ‘I found that a lot of pupils would have one lesson in the week but then wouldn’t have a car to practice on at home.

‘When we looked at options to help them, we quickly realised there was a lot of wonderful stuff out there for theory tests but there wasn’t anything in terms of practical.

‘So we came up with this app as a way for people to keep up the practice, sort of like 10 minutes of homework every day.

‘It can be used at any time and help pupils familiarize themselves with test routes before they actually take it. ‘

From idea to execution, the pair have worked day and night to get Simdrive up and running successfully.

Bernie said: ‘Cagri basically brought the whole thing to life, he did the coding for the app, while I did the filming and content etc.’

‘It’s been a difficult journey but definitely rewarding. Since launching last month, two pupils have successfully passed the test after using the app in conjunction with practical lessons.

‘They’ve found it helpful, as they’ve been able to regularly practice their routes and MSPSL rules.’

The 40-year-old explains how once a pupil is confident with the ‘lessons’ section, they can then move onto the ‘test centres’ section where they can take a mock practical driving test of any of the test centres in London in the same format.

The app is free to download but lessons are paid for. These come in education packages for £2.99/week or £5.99/month while you can get access to your relevant test centre for 24 hours for just 99p.

Bernie said: ‘The app has all the generic test routes for the 32 test centres in London so anyone can purchase the routes and familiarize themselves with them.’

In the past four weeks, the app has been downloaded 300 times, with many people trying out the free demo features.

Bernie hopes this will translate to more people paying for lessons.

He said: ‘So far 300 people have downloaded the app, which shows people are curious about it, they’re playing it and coming back, so they obviously like it.

‘There’s 300,000 students every year in London going to do a test, if I can get 150,000 downloads by the end of this year, I’ll be happy!’
