Why is candy crush and 10 other things installed on my damn laptop and why is it so hard to undo this. You people disgust. I don't want this stuff on my computer and nothing on these boards helps me undo this. I don't mind auto app updates. I just don't want unwanted crap. What do you think gives you the right to put this on my computer. Buying a Mac next time.

Hello,

Apps/Software being automatically installed in Windows 10 is by design. We found a thread with a similar concern. Follow the troubleshooting steps provided by Ԓԃښԓ on this article to address the issue.

You may also refer to the steps below:

  1. Type regedit then hit Enter.
  2. Go to the follow Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\
  3. Create a new key inside the Windows key. Right-click the Windows key and choose New > Hit Key. Name the new key CloudContent.
  4. Create a new value inside that new key. Right-click the CloudContent key and select New > Select DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name the new value DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures.
  5. Double-click the new DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures value to open its properties window. Change the value from 0 to 1 in the Value data box and then click OK.
  6. Restart your computer.

Let us know the result of the troubleshooting.

This sounds like a garbage reply.

Jan Del,

So what your saying is, I must turn off App Updates, which will provide security and feature updates to the Apps that.. I WANT to use. In order to stop Microsoft from installing their crapware, adware, unwanted "games" on my system? This is complete garbage. In no way is this a solution.

It's either accept our (Microsoft's) adware/games, or don't get security updates and features on the Apps that I (as the user) want.

Please provide an acceptable solution, such as a registry key or something to disable this mess!

Thanks,

Aaron

Can't remember which build that was fixed but the Store Apps you uninstall now do not reinstall unless you do it your self.

That was fixed in 17063 and it is fixed in 17074 so if anyone is having Candy Crash and others Installing themselves you need to Update to at least 17063.
