Firefox for Android can't display PDFs. You'll need to download a PDF viewer from the Google Play Store, e.g. like Acrobat Reader.
This doesn't work. I have Acrobat on my Pixel 3a and a URL to a PDF will launch the app perfectly in Chrome but in Firefox, the URL triggers Acrobat to launch and then I get a message saying something like (paraphrasing as it flashes up for only a couple of seconds) "there is no app on this device to open the file".
I probably should open a new ticket :D
