More InformationCalifornia has made significant progress to reduce our exposure to harmful air pollutants, the result of regulations and programs based on sound science. These achievements reflect a collective and bipartisan effort over the past half century that involves the Legislature, air districts, regulated industries and the public. We have come a long way but many in our state still breathe unhealthful air, and childhood asthma rates are above the national average.
There is far more work to be done. CARB stands ready as it enters its next 50 years to build on this strong environmental legacy and ensure that all Californians will breathe clean air.
The California Air Resources Board typically has monthly meetings with the agenda available at least 10 days prior to the meeting date. Board Meetings are open to the public and also are available via webcast.
In accordance with Governor Newsom's Executive Orders N-29-20 and N-33-20 as well as recommendations from the California Department of Public Health, the December 10-11, 2020 will not have a physical location. This will be a remote-only meeting.
