Downloading stuff from browsers extremely slow - think, that
Why is my download speed so slow even though my internet speed is fast? I tried everything I could even the last case scenario, which is reinstalling Chrome and my download speed is still so slow. For some reason when I PAUSE the download, my CPU usage goes high, which is supposed to happen when downloading stuff, but when I RESUME the download, the KB/s goes high to like 900 and then plummets down to 300KB/s shortly after and the CPU usage just goes to like 0%. Why is it that when I resume the download after pausing it the download speed is fast but then plummets down again? I have no idea what is happening and I have searched all over the Internet for the solution but everything is useless to me. Is there like a stupid thing where Chrome puts a stupidly low download speed cap? Please help.

Did you already try disabling all extensions? Any could be the culprit.
If that didn't work: what firewall and AV do you use? They are involved in the download process.
If Chrome's acting funny it can also help to reset your user data:
Follow these steps to backup and reset your user profile's data. Start by closing Chrome completely:

- open the Windows Task Manager [ctrl + shift + esc]
- if you see any open Chrome processes (chrome.exe), end them
Next is to move or rename the user data folder:
Rename the user data folder:
- open a folder in Windows
- copy this into its address bar:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\ - rename the folder "Default"* to "Default_backup" (or something else)
* "Default" is the name of the user data folder of the first account in Chrome. The second is "Person 1", the third is "Person 2", and so forth.
The renamed folder is your backup. You can also move or delete the folder if you prefer. To restore the backup, just repeat the steps and then rename "Default_backup" back to "Default"
Now, let's see if it fixes something by opening Chrome. Your data is gone (reset) now and you need to log in again.

I found the problem, which was with the SmartByte app that Dell has on their computers. Once I deleted this app from my windows 10 system, all is as it should be now.

wtf is this downloading speed is slow on chrome but when i download games on steam or epic store than the speed is 6-7 mbps and on chrome is 600-700 kbps i want the answer
