EQAO Data Management

EQAO testing for grades 3 and 6 will take place at the end of May. We will be prepping the students in-class as the year goes on…and there is much you can do at home as well if you wish. For example, you can download EQAO practice tests and have your child complete them at home. Please see below for more information:

To download past EQAO practice tests:

1) Go to www.eqao.com and enter the English site.

2) Click “Parent Resources” (a blue link at the top of the page)

3) Click “Assessment of Reading, Writing and Mathematics, Primary Division (Grades 1–3) and Junior Division (Grades 4–6)”

4) Scroll down until you see the title “Student Assessment Booklets and Scoring Guides (test questions and examples of student answers).” Below this you will see links of past EQAO tests according to year.

5) Once you click on one of the year links, you will be able to download the Student Assessment Booklets (Language 1 – Reading, Language 2 – Writing and Mathematics), the Scoring Guides (which show you what a level 1, 2, 3 and 4 look like) and Multiple-Choice Answer Keys.

Please download a test (or more!) for your child and take some homework time to go over it with them. Your child will benefit from this review of their language and math skills greatly. You may choose to do as many tests as you like and as much/little preparation as you prefer. It is up to you to mark and review the test with your child.
